About the role

Destiny Medical Ltd is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team and provide compassionate care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and helping to maintain a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsible For
  • To support registered nurses in the implementation of a high standard of Service Users care promoting their wellbeing following a ‘Person-Centred Approach’
  • Provide appropriate and effective care to clients, considering their specific requirements and preferences
  • Report any concerns or problems to supervising nurse, particularly relating to individual Service User’s safety
  •  Assist with service user’s overall comfort and wellbeing
  • Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed in order to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all residents
  • Working efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach service users care
  • Assist Service Users with all personal care required, including; Bathing in bed/bathroom/chair to include essential aspects of personal hygiene – i.e. washing body and hair, brushing teeth etc and ensuring that such activities comply with the procedures and relevant healthcare legislation
  • Duty to observe and monitor the wellbeing of service users ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly reported and documented appropriately. Additionally, staff must ensure they are aware of the local adult safeguarding policies and procedures furthermore who to contact within the local authority for safeguarding related issues
  • Assisting with mobility and transfer using correctly any specialised equipment provided
  • Maintaining and developing good professional relationships with residents, colleagues and other key stakeholders.
Additional Requirements
  • Health care experience essential
  • Will be required to be signed off as competent at the induction

£22,308.00 per annum (£11.30 per hour) based on 39 hrs per week.
